Primal Kitchen: Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Primal Kitchen: Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil

When looking for olive oil, make sure to find “unrefined” and “extra virgin”. Unfortunately, up to 80% of “extra virgin olive oil” brands are either contaminated with seed oils or rancid. You can look for a seal from the North American Olive Oil Association or refer to their list of approved brands here. Primal Kitchen is one that’s on the list!

Because its hard to know if olive oil truly is pure, I typically cook with animal fats wherever possible. If the olive oil is pure and from a good source, it should be fine to eat!
