Tips For Finding Local Pasture-Raised Meats (in the USA)

Tips For Finding Local Pasture-Raised Meats (in the USA)
  • Check out eatwild.com (they have a map showing farms in each state). This likely won’t be an exhaustive source, but is a great place to start!
  • Search google maps for local farmers markets or co-op groups
  • Search for local small farming FaceBook groups, and ask people for recommendations (ex. North Carolina Small Farmers). This is a good way to find really small family farms that sell their meats, eggs, etc.
  • Reach out to the Weston A. Price chapter leader for your area. They will likely be very knowledgable about the best local sources for meat, raw dairy, eggs, etc. You can find chapter leaders for all 50 states (and regions) here.
  • Most farms are very willing to let people come visit the farm and learn more about their practices. We’d highly recommend doing this, as its such a powerful thing to have more of a connection to your food!
