Breakfast Casserole Recipe
Ingredients:
- 12 pasture-raised eggs
- 1lb of ground sausage (or other ground meat)
- .5-1lb of cooked bacon
- 2 cups of cheese (any kind will work, raw is best)
- 3/4 cup of heavy cream
- 1/2 onion
- 4 cloves of minced garlic
- Redmond salt & seasoning to taste
Tools & Supplies:
- Stainless steel frying pan
- 9″x13″ glass baking dish
Instructions:
- Add some animal fat (I used tallow) into a pan on the stovetop and sauté your onions until translucent, then add in your garlic and saute until fragrant.
- Add your ground sausage into the pan and cook it through, breaking it up into small pieces.
- Whisk the eggs, heavy cream, and seasonings thoroughly
- Fold in the cheese, cooked bacon, and cooked sausage
- Grease a 9”x13” baking dish and pour everything in. Give it another good mix.
- Bake in the oven at 375 fahrenheit for 30-35 minutes or until the eggs are fully cooked
- Let cool & enjoy! Save in the fridge for 2-3 days. This recipe makes for great leftovers!
Notes:
- This recipe is very versatile, so you can easily add in other ingredients (such as peppers, herbs, hash browns, etc) or omit ingredients such as the bacon. Get creative with it!
- Any type of ground meat will work great. I’ve used ground beef for this recipe and it was delicious!
- If possible, we recommend using local raw dairy, pasture-raised meat & eggs, and organic produce. Eat the best quality food you can afford. If you’re looking for regenerative farms that ship their pasture raised meats, these are some great options:
- White Oak Pastures (code: ribeyerach)
- Northstar Bison (code: ribeyerach)
- Wild Pastures (20% off through this link)
- If you’re doing a strict carnivore diet, just omit the garlic/onions and seasonings
- Reheat in the oven or air-fryer until warm all the way through.
- If you’re sensitive to eggs, many people do well with corn & soy free. Unfortunately they can be difficult to find! If you can’t find a good local source, Miller’s Bio Farm ships their corn & soy free eggs and A2/A2 raw dairy (use this link for $10 off).
- This recipe can be enjoyed by anyone, and it fits in great with these diets: the carnivore diet, keto diet, lion diet, animal-based diet, low carb diet, Weston A. Price diet, etc.
