Ingredients:

  • 1 lb of bacon
    • If you’re looking for corn & soy free bacon/pork, our favorite sources are Apsey Farms and Northstar Bison (use the code “ribeyerach” for a discount at both farm stores). Pork isn’t inflammatory when fed an ancestrally appropriate diet!

Tools:

  • 12″ cast iron pan (or larger)

Instructions:

  1. Line the bacon on your cast iron pan
  2. Preheat oven to 425
  3. Cook the bacon for 10-15 minutes, until it reaches desired crispness. The cook time will vary depending on the thickness of your bacon, so make sure to keep an eye on it (there’s nothing worse than burnt bacon)
  4. Let cool & enjoy!

Notes:

  • Make sure to save your bacon grease to cook with! Pour it into a glass jar (we pour it through a fine mesh strainer). Keep at room temp or in the fridge and use it to cook with.
    • If you’re cooking eggs, you can use the same cast iron pan and use the bacon fat to cook with!
  • This recipe can be done using a baking sheet and parchment paper as well.
